Within a laboratory setting, bio-risk refers to the likelihood of a lab worker being exposed to a hazardous agent. Lab bio-risks can be categorized into three forms: 1. Hazards presented by the agents themselves; 2. Hazards associated with the research procedures; and 3. Hazards that are linked to the lab worker's expertise in the subject matter. With the assistance of laboratory safety, we were able to find out the following:
